About Classic Circle

Classic Circle takes the traditional spectrum analyzer and wraps it around a radial axis, creating a mesmerizing circular audio visualizer that pulses outward with every beat. Low frequencies emanate from the center while high frequencies radiate at the edges, producing a mandala-like display that is both informative and hypnotic. The circular layout transforms frequency data into something that feels almost organic -- like a living organism breathing in sync with the music. Bass hits cause the entire circle to bloom outward, while hi-hats and cymbals create delicate spikes along the perimeter. The symmetry of the design makes every frame visually balanced and aesthetically pleasing. This effect has become a staple of music YouTube channels and Spotify Canvas loops. Its clean geometry and satisfying motion loop make it endlessly watchable, while the direct audio mapping ensures every visual detail is driven by the actual music.

How it works

Frequency bins from the FFT analysis are mapped to angular positions around a circle rather than linear positions along a bar chart. Each bin extends radially outward from the center, with magnitude controlling the extension length. Mirror symmetry is applied so that the left and right halves reflect each other, creating a balanced visual. The circle's base radius pulses gently with overall RMS energy for an added sense of life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add album art in the center of the circle?+
Yes. The Classic Circle effect supports placing an image or album artwork in the center of the radial display. You can upload your cover art in the project settings.
How many frequency bands does the circle display?+
By default it renders 128 radial bands. You can adjust this from 32 to 256 in the effect configuration for more or less spectral detail.
Can I export this as a seamless loop?+
The export system supports loop-point detection. If your audio loops cleanly, the visual output will also loop seamlessly -- perfect for Spotify Canvas or social media.
