About Classic Bars
How it works
Classic Bars performs an FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) on the audio signal to decompose it into individual frequency bins. Each bin is mapped to a vertical bar whose height is driven by the magnitude of that frequency at the current point in the song. A smoothing algorithm prevents jarring jumps between frames, and the entire computation happens offline during the analysis phase -- the render loop simply reads pre-computed data for deterministic playback.

MusicMind Engine
MusicMind's Chord Detection (L3) colors bars by harmonic content, Key Color Mapping (L6) sets the palette from detected key, and Timbral Fingerprint (L10) weights frequency bands by perceptual brightness.

Classic Bars uses the Bark scale to group FFT bins into perceptually meaningful frequency bands, matching how your brain actually processes sound.
