Slowed + Reverb Maker

Drop a song, slow it down, add reverb, and download it. Made in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

How to make a slowed and reverb song

  1. Drop your song into the tool. MP3, WAV, OGG or FLAC. It is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
  2. Set the speed to 0.80x to 0.85x. The pitch falls with the speed, about 2.8 to 3.9 semitones lower. A 120 BPM song at 0.80x becomes 96 BPM.
  3. Add 30% to 50% reverb. Reverb fills the space the slower tempo leaves. Past about 60% the vocal starts to blur.
  4. Listen, then download the WAV. The 60-second excerpt is free with no account. The full-length song is $4 once.

How do you make a slowed and reverb song?

Play the song at about 0.80x to 0.85x speed so the pitch drops with it (0.80x is about 3.9 semitones lower), then add 30% to 50% reverb to fill the space. A 120 BPM track at 0.80x becomes 96 BPM.

Good starting settings

  • Speed 0.80x to 0.85x. Slow enough to change the mood, with the pitch about 3 to 4 semitones lower.
  • Reverb 30% to 50%. Enough to fill the gaps the slower tempo leaves. Past 60% the vocal starts to blur.
  • Listen to the free excerpt first. It starts a quarter of the way in, so you hear a verse or chorus rather than the intro.

For the opposite effect, faster and higher, use the Nightcore Maker. To slow a song down without the pitch dropping, use Change Tempo.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a slowed and reverb song?+
Drop the song here, set the speed (0.8x is a common choice) and the reverb, listen to the free 60-second preview, then download the WAV.
Is it free?+
Yes. Making and downloading a 60-second excerpt is free and needs no account. The full-length song is $4 once, or included with Artist ($12/mo).
Is my song uploaded anywhere?+
No. The speed change, pitch change and reverb all happen in your browser. The file never leaves your device.
Can I post the slowed version?+
The tool changes the audio; it does not change who owns it. A slowed edit of someone else's song still belongs to its rights holders, so check before you upload or monetize it.
