About Vortex Tunnel
How it works
The tunnel is rendered using a ray-marching fragment shader. The signed distance function for the tunnel is a deformed cylinder with audio-reactive radius modulation, cross-section polygon count, and twist rate. Forward motion is achieved by translating the ray origin along the tunnel axis at a speed driven by RMS energy. Wall patterns use repeating UV coordinates with audio-reactive procedural textures. The twist rate is quantized to the beat grid for rhythmically coherent rotation. Post-processing adds motion blur along the forward axis to enhance the sense of speed.

MusicMind Engine
Narrative Arc (L7) controls tunnel constriction during verse-chorus transitions, Spatial Intelligence (L8) shifts the tunnel cross-section based on stereo width, and Creative Mapping (L11) morphs wall geometry between polygon shapes to reflect musical mood shifts.

Vortex Tunnel's rotation speed maps to the arousal dimension of tempo-emotion research — faster tempos create faster tunnel rotation.
