Core Thesis

Dance records do not all optimize for the same density. Different scenes arrive at movement through different balances of repetition, syncopation, and attack.

Observed distribution

The corpus shows some catalogs winning through sparse authority, others through saturated but well-organized rhythmic pressure. Both can work when the groove logic is internally coherent.

Why the report matters

This matters for genre-fit, remix direction, and release packaging because "more movement" does not mean one thing across dance music.

Where to take it next

Read this with rhythmic density benchmark pages and groove science research before making genre-level assumptions.
