What size should an album cover be?+
Most distributors ask for a square image of 3000 × 3000 pixels, as a JPEG or PNG in RGB colour. This tool downloads both: the cover with your text as a JPEG, and the art alone as a PNG. Check your distributor’s artwork guide for anything extra it requires.
Can I use an AI cover on Spotify?+
Spotify takes artwork through your distributor, and each distributor has its own artwork rules (no blurry images, no misleading logos, text that matches the release, and so on). Check your distributor’s rules before you submit. We do not promise that any service will accept a given cover.
Who owns an AI-generated cover?+
The artwork is made by an AI image model from your description. Whether, and how far, AI-generated images can be owned or protected is unsettled in law and differs by country, so we make no ownership claim either way. If ownership matters for your release, ask a lawyer where you live.
Does my song get uploaded?+
No. If you use “Match my song”, the track is analysed in your browser. Only five descriptive words (mood, energy, tempo, key mode and drop) are sent to make the cover. The audio never leaves your device.
